From arrival to departure, our trip was flawless!
We came over after 4 nice days at the Le Meridien next door, which were clouded a bit by the construction on the beach there. Although we loved the Le Meridien rooms and thought they were wonderfully designed, the St. Regis Overwater Premier room we had absolutely blew it away.
Even the basic rooms at this property were stunning, and with a relatively large property on low-season, we had so much privacy and attention here.
The restaurant for breakfast was absolutely fantastic, egg-white omelettes cooked to perfection with every ingredient I wanted. Waffles & Pancakes too, and a nice selection of juices, fish, fruits, and toasts.
Dinner at the Lagoon restaurant was one of the best meal experience of our lives. We both had the tasting menu (using SPG points as suggested in the in-room brochure) and it was stunning – Tuna we craved to have again, Sea bass taster, and a fantastic Kobe beef steak. Highly recommend the Coconut sorbet for dessert. To the previous poster complaining about Chicken Parmesan – I didn’t have any negative food experiences at any of the 4 hotels we were at – but this is not the place to order American dishes!
The kayaks were well kept, and they have a Hobe Cat sailboat you can use (two actually, but one was in for repair). There was a full fitness centre (24-hours) and we had no problems keeping bikes at our room for the whole 3 days.
We’ll be dreaming of our next visit for the next few years I’m sure!
